Professional Speciality Cleaning in Dorset
Over the years we have taken on a lot of cleaning projects, some run of the mill and some quite extraordinary. Leather carpet, velvet wallpaper, antique silk table runners, tapestries, flatweaves, embroideries, to name a few. We run tests on all fabric types here at the studio to determine the right techniques to get the best possible results.
Shag pile rugs and flokati rugs can be washed, and our cutting-edge dusting machine can remove dirt from deep within the pile better than any other system.
Faux silk rugs – sometimes described as Art silk – these textiles come in various guises including relatively strong mercerised cottons and challenging viscose rayons. Some of these need more time and intensive cleaning and finishing than even the most expensive silks.
Sisal/seagrass is possible to clean, but are particularly challenging, so need to be assessed individually.
Tufted rugs can be washed fully without issue with our system if they are of good quality, as we have the fastest drying available today. Poor quality rugs may break down in the washing process so we clean these differently.
